Following sustained growth, Bridge Help has introduced a new business-critical role to the firm. Olena Banko has been appointed as a bookkeeper accountant.
With 10 years’ experience in bookkeeping, accountancy and compliance, Olena will be responsible for overseeing loan repayments and general finances at Bridge Help, supporting its business development and underwriting teams, and liaising with both borrowers and investors.
Olena originally hails from Ukraine having arrived in the UK last year following the outbreak of war with Russia. She has since been working in a customer service role at the famous Chatsworth House in Derbyshire. As part of her new role at Bridge Help, the company will also be supporting Olena to further her accounting qualifications.
She explained: “As much as I loved my time at Chatsworth House, I yearned to get back to my real love of finance and bookkeeping. As well as the friendly team, I was attracted to the fast-paced environment at Bridge Help. It is the perfect place for me to utilise my skills once again and continue to develop my career and professional development in the UK.”
Since being established in 2017, Bridge Help has grown year-on-year with the company on track to achieve a £100 million loan book by 2025.
Welcoming Olena to the role Chris Sellars, Chief Executive and General Counsel of Bridge Help, said: “Olena’s experience in both accountancy and bookkeeping is extensive and her role is key to enabling us to continue to grow and develop the business. Similarly, we’re looking forward to helping her pursue her professional ambitions in the UK. We’re delighted to have her on board.”
Outside work, Olena is enjoying exploring the Great British countryside with her young son.
