Name: Katie Snodden
Role: Head of Sales
How long have you been with Bridge Help, and what do you do here?
I have been with Bridge Help for over 2 years now – starting as a Business Development Manager before being promoted to Head of Sales in December 2022. From our head office in Chesterfield, I work with brokers across England and Wales.
What do you like most about working at Bridge Help?
I love all aspects of the job. Meeting and speaking with brokers and clients, and working closely with the team to find solutions. Relationship management has always been something I’ve enjoyed and there is no better feeling than seeing a deal complete. Working at Bridge Help, it’s refreshing to know people care about me as a person, as well as my professional growth. As a team we are always evolving, and I feel very lucky to be a part of that journey.
What’s the most interesting part of your job?
Although I am not directly involved with underwriting, I really do enjoy researching and gathering all the information required for a deal ready for underwriting.
What’s your favourite memory working at Bridge Help?
I do enjoy attending the various different Expos throughout the year, The Finance Professional Show (London) and NACFB (Birmingham) were great fun.
Our weekly office quiz is always something I enjoy. Although, unless it’s a question on Pop Music or CBeebies, I don’t bring much to the table!
How do you achieve success in your role?
Put the work in and be consistent! As a BDM you must deal with rejection in the right way. I believe the key to success is to keep going, be honest, maintain communication and consistently provide the highest level of service you can.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
There is nothing better than spending time with my daughter, Lila. She’s at that age now where she’s excited to learn new things, so watching her develop and being able to share new experiences with her is just the best!
Which three words best describe you?
Determined. Outgoing. Caring.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
“Just keep going, no matter what!“
